Sandra Lanoie has over 25 years of experience in the area of Family Wealth Management. She is a Vice President with Wells Fargo Advisors and celebrates 18 years with the company, this month. Sandra has been a member of the notable Chairmen’s Council andPresident’s Council and is most recently honored as aPremier Advisor by her Firm. An active member of the community, Sandra has served on numerous committees and boards over the years including the National Charity League - Heritage Oaks and St. Mary’s School Board, Los Gatos. She is an active member of The Women’s Guild at Bellarmine College Preparatory and in previous years, The Women’s Club at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View. Sandra graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing. Sandra and her husband, Roy, reside in Los Gatos, California with their two children, Alexandra and Christopher.
Gary Ball Treasurer

After an active career as a research scientist, inventor and serial entrepreneur, Gary now works as a management and technology consultant. The shift in focus has allowed Gary to dedicate precious time towards family and community. Towards this goal, Gary has taught Physical Science as a public school teacher and has served the community through leadership roles on the Boards of Camp Ramah California, the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, Yavneh Day School and Congregation Beth David. His passions include photography and videography. Gary is married to Amy; they have a 16-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter who are both part of the CMT family and are actively involved in performing arts
Tom Cottom Secretary
Owner - First Wave Events.
Tom Cotton grew up in Los Gatos, and fell in love with theater when he was cast as Fagin in the Daves Avenue Elementary School production of Oliver!. He continued performing in theater productions throughout elementary, middle and high school. Tom auditioned for his first show with San Jose Children’s Musical Theater in 1978, and has performed in a total of 12 CMTSJ productions. Tom graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1983. He later attended Sacramento State University, where he majored in theater arts managment. Tom also developed his abilities in the technical aspects of theater, working on stage crews for school and community theater productions throughout his high school and college years. Tom began his professional career in the Shows Department at Great America, where he was employed from 1981 to 1989 as a theater technician and a Show Department Manager. He went on to manage the Last Laugh, a comedy club in San Jose, and then worked for 5 years as a project and sale manager at Riverview Systems Group, a local audio-visual company. From there, Tom held positions at Applied Materials as Manager of Global Events and eBay as Sr. Manager of Events and Education, where he produced corporate events and trade shows. While at eBay, Tom was responsible for launching the nationwide eBay University user education program, as well as the eBay Live! annual community conference. In 2007, Tom left eBay to fulfill a lifelong dream of running his own business. He now owns and operates Firstwave Events, an event management company that produces local sporting events, such as triathlons and half-marathons. Through his long-standing relationship with San Jose business and community leaders, Firstwave Events has been awarded the race production contract for the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot for the last 4 years. Tom resides in San Jose with his wife Patty and their three sons. In the last several years, Tom has been able to refocus on school and Community Theater, as his children have now participated in musical theater productions at the elementary, middle and high school levels. In 2008 and 2009, he had the opportunity to direct the musical theater productions at Union Middle School. In addition, Tom has been able to reconnect with Children’s Musical Theater. CMT’s 2009-2010 season was a milestone for Tom, as it marked the first year that he participated in an alumni show and also watched one of his own children perform on the CMTSJ stage!

Rick Ballard
VP General Council - iLoop Mobile Inc.
Rick Ballard is General Counsel of Archer group, a leading global provider of mobile marketing software and services. He oversees all legal and regulatory matters for Archer’s worldwide group of affiliated companies, including licensing and other commercial contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property, and litigation matters. He has also worked as attorney at the Silicon Valley law firms of Jones Day and Pennie & Edmonds LLP, where his practice focused on patent prosecution and complex technology transactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Rick was as a research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, studying the physiological effects of spaceflight and developing exercise equipment for the space shuttle and devices for monitoring and maintaining the health of astronauts. Rick holds a masters degree in systems physiology from San Jose State, and a law degree from Santa Clara University. Rick and his wife Shelley are also the founders and owners of Cucina Bambini, a cooking school and party place for kids and families. As a proud parent of two CMT mainstagers, Rick has participated in over 20 CMT productions, including as stage manager, crew and spot light operator.
Christine Burroughs
Retired CEO - InnVision
Christine led InnVision the Way Home, a major non-profit in Silicon Valley from 1988 to 2012.. During her 24 year tenure, she grew the organization tenfold, from a small, grass-roots agency into a leading provider of housing and support services with 25 sites, 100 staff, 6500 volunteers and an $11 million annual budget. Before stepping down as CEO, she oversaw a merger with a similar size agency in order to strengthen regional positioning and ensure long-term sustainability. She forged many community partnerships and managed over 12 major capital projects including building and renovating various shelters, multi-service centers, transitional housing complexes, and permanent affordable apartments.Christine is a past President and current Board member of Children’s Musical Theatre San Jose, and vice-chair of the Shortino Family Foundation focusing on at-risk youth education and arts initiatives. As a Rotarian for 10 years, she serves on an arts committee, youth leadership development committee, and a capital campaign committee. She is also a Licensed Realtor. Being a strong visionary, entrepreneur and collaborator resulted in her receiving numerous accolades from public and private sectors for her achievements in fundraising, community relations and overall excellence in management. Previous employment included television operations management and real estate sales.
Scott Canali

Scott is Managing Director of MCM Investment Company LLC, and a marketing and business executive, experienced in positioning, launching and marketing products worldwide, creating successful marketing programs, and motivating, managing, and developing staff in a team environment. Scott has been a member of the CMT Board since 2001, a past member of the Board Executive Committee, and a part of CMT’s tremendous growth and success during that time. Scott has helped launch a number of new initiatives that are now part of CMT’s standard practices. Scott’s enthusiasm for CMT comes from seeing so many performers have the times of their lives in CMT shows, and also seeing CMT regularly have an incredibly powerful positive impact on so many lives, helping instill confidence and life skills, build important relationships, and deeply touch so many while creating outstanding theater. Scott has also been a Stage Manager for CMT shows for years, leading volunteer teams to support the director’s vision and being responsible for shows running smoothly in the theater. He had the pleasure of stage managing CMT’s first two Marquee Productions: Chess and The Full Monty. Scott also stage managed many other CMT Mainstage and Rising Star productions. Scott’s son, Rob, has been a CMT performer for 14 years.
Kevin R. Hauge
Artistic Director - CMT San Jose
In his 18th season as artistic director at CMT, Kevin has led the nation’s leading theater company for youth in taking on increasingly challenging and professional-quality productions. His innovative approach to productions includes incorporating modern techniques and technology, all culminating in recognition of artistic excellence from the National Endowment for the Arts nine consecutive years. A recipient of the prestigious Lin Wright Special Recognition Award by the American Alliance for Theater and Education, he has been the guest speaker at the International Association of Theater Educators Conference in Washington D.C. and the Education and Technology conference in New York City. Kevin has collaborated on productions in a variety of venues all over the world. He has staged ice shows, magic shows, musical revues, industrial shows, corporate parties, television specials and book musicals for a variety of companies, including Tropworld (Atlantic City), Harrah’s (Reno), Six Flags Parks (nationwide), and Royal Viking Cruise Lines (worldwide). Some of the unique productions Kevin has worked on include You’re In the Movies (MGM Grand) in Las Vegas, World of Wonders (Everland) in Seoul, South Korea, and a special Easter Celebration (The White House) in Washington D.C. Kevin has appeared several times as a guest artist with the San Jose Symphony and has served on the exhibits committee at the Tech Museum of Innovation.
Randy McCalla Attorney - Exact Legal Inc.
Randy McCalla, Campbell, California, is a corporate attorney in solo practice in Los Gatos, California. His areas of practice include corporate representation of start-up companies, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, intellectual property transactions, executive employment matters and dispute resolution. Randy served as general counsel to public and private emerging growth and technology related companies during an extended engagement at Morrison & Foerster LLP in Palo Alto, California. Randy received his juris doctorate in 1995 from University of California, King Hall School of Law, where he served on the Law Review. He received his BA from University of California, Berkeley in the field of Classical Languages. Randy is married to Becky L. Wallin, M.D., a local family practice physician, and they have two children who have been participating in CMT productions since 2008.
Michael Miller
Managing Director - CMT San Jose
Michael is thrilled and honored to be Managing Director of CMT. His career started in entertainment 25 years ago with his own company Spotlight Entertainment, producing shows for Holland America Cruise Line and corporate events locally and internationally. After 4 seasons with AMTSJ as Production Manager in the ‘90’s Michael moved east and spent 5 seasons as Director of Production for Paper Mill Playhouse in NJ, returning to AMTSJ in 2002 as Director of Production and General Manager of Miss Saigon other favorite co-productions/tours include Dreamgirls, A Chorus Line, I’m Not Rappaport and many others. In 2004 Michael was appointed CEO & Executive Producer of AMTSJ and due to economic challenges the company closed at the end of 2008. Michael has stayed active in the community working with 1stACT Silicon Valley, Executive Director of San Jose Jazz where he is now a Board member. Michael has served as Chair of the Arts Round Table, Arts Board Chair at Team San Jose, Chair of the Theatre Preservation Board and board member of Teatro Vision, sjDANCEco, Co-Chair of the live music catalyst team, committee member with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and active participant with Team in Training.
Michael Mulcahy

Michael leads a privately held real estate and investment firm with roots that stretch back generations to the agricultural heritage of Santa Clara Valley. He was born and raised in San Jose, attended Bellarmine College Preparatory and graduated from the University of Southern California. He began his real estate career with Coldwell Banker Commercial - now CB Richard Ellis - and after five years he took a life-changing detour, serving as Executive Director of Children's Musical Theater San Jose (CMT) from 1993- 200 l leading it to be recognized as the nation's largest theater for youth. Worth noting, Michael started as a young stage performer with CMT at age 6 and continues on its Board today. In 200 l, Michael returned to the private sector as Managing Partner of SDS NexGen Partners. Most notable are the firm's investments in Willow Glen, a thriving neighborhood business district in San Jose. He is a past president of the Willow Glen Business Association where he Jed the campaign to create a progressive Community Business Improvement District which will serve to enable the organization to ramp up marketing, maintenance, security, capital improvements and events. In 2006, Michael was a candidate for Mayor of San Jose. Although he did not advance, he is credited for running an extremely competitive and professional campaign - bringing a voice for change to the debate. His campaign was endorsed by the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, Metro Newspaper, SJ Mercury News columnist Scott Herhofd, and Silicon Valley Community Newspapers. He is very proud to have made a significant imprint on the most competitive political election in San Jose's history. He currently serves on the Boards of Children's Musical Theater San Jose (a past president), Team San Jose (Board Chair), Hillbrook Schoof, and is a senior fellow and former board member of American Leadership Forum - Silicon Valley. And along with former San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer, Michael currently co-chairs Baseball San Jose, the civic organization committed to bringing Major League Baseball to Downtown San Jose. Michael resides in Willow Glen with his wife Kimberly and their three daughters.

Eddie Owen - Born in Bakersfield California on November 19, 1945 to Maudie and Louis Owen. Moved to San Jose in 1950 and attended James Lick High School. School interests were in music learning the trumpet, French horn and belonging to choir. Met Helen Marchese, in 1965, it was love at first sight and this October 28 is our 45th anniversary. We have two boys, Christopher and Dominic. Christopher married Tami and they have three children, Nicholas 24, Kayla 21 and Bailey 18. Dominic married Bridget and they have four girls, Jolena 7, Cheyenne 5, Kalista 3 and Charlotte 10 months. I have worked various jobs and spent most of my adult life working for my father-n-law on the farm doing everything from driving tractors, moving irrigation pipes and running a packing shed during cherry season. My wife is involved with many organizations mostly helping the disadvantaged children with healthcare and Cancer research. I am past chair of Christmas In The Park for ten years and on the board and past chair of The American Musical Theatre San Jose. My wife and I received The Boy Scouts of America Santa Clara County Distinguished Citizens of the year award in 2007. We are members of Sacred Heart Parish in Saratoga.
Karen Schneider

Karen joined the board of Children’s Musical Theater in August of 2012. After serving on the board of American Musical Theater of San Jose for eight years, she is delighted to be involved in the San Jose theater community once more. Her children have all inherited her love of theater and two of her daughters spent many years involved in CMTSJ. Along with her husband Steve, Karen was able to help CMTSJ become a beneficiary of the George and Jeanette Stuart Trust- dedicated to the welfare of children in the Bay Area - which has made significant donations to CMTSJ over the past few years. Karen graduated from Santa Clara University and went on to work in the electronics industry for fifteen years as a manager in Accounting and Finance and then in Human Resources. For several years she and her work partner pioneered in the area of job sharing and worked with a non-profit to help other companies develop innovative alternative job solutions. She left industry for many years to focus on her family, Steve and their four children. She became active in school and sports organizations and served on several committees and boards. She now works at a local CPA firm.
Ann Skeet

A strategist and leadership consultant, Ann advises CEOs and senior leaders in organizational design, strategy development and leadership. Ann served as president of Notre Dame High School San Jose for three years and for eight years as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Leadership Forum-Silicon Valley (ALF). Ann worked for Knight Ridder at the San Jose Mercury News for a decade. In her last role there, she served as Vice President of Marketing for theSan Jose Mercury News and Contra Costa Newspapers. Ann has served on the board of directors of numerous organizations, including the United Way Silicon Valley, the American Musical Theatre of San Jose, the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California, the Children’s Discovery Museum, the Silicon Valley Conference for Community and Justice (now SV Faces), the Stanford Daily, the Nonprofit Development Center (now CompassPoint Nonprofit Services). She is a founder of 1st ACT Silicon Valley. Ann also currently serves on the board for the Catholic Foundation of Santa Clara County. Ann is a magna cum laude graduate of Bucknell University and member of Phi Beta Kappa. She holds a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.
Harvard Sung
VP of Finance, Administrative & Operations - Xangati, Inc.
Harvard has over 30 years of finance, administrative, corporate governance and operations experience. He has been the Vice President, Finance, Operations and Administration at Xangati, Inc, (a network infrastructure performance management software company) since 2007. From 2002 to 2007, he held similar VP, Finance and Administration positions at Reliant Technologies (aesthetic laser devices) and Bermai, Inc (wireless semiconductors). Harvard has an MBA, Corporate Finance from Golden Gate University, a B.A. Business Economics and Coaching Minor in Volleyball from the University of California Santa Barbara and earned a California Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge. Harvard grew up in Los Altos and now resides in San Jose. He and his wife, Peggy, are parents to their 10 year old daughter, Lauren. Among his interests are playing golf, running, photography, playing guitar and most sports but especially the San Jose Sharks.
Sherri Vasquez
Principal - Moreland School District/Eastbrook Discovery School, K-8
Sherri Vasquez has worked as an educator for the the past 22 years, as a teacher, coach, and administrator. She is currently the principal of Easterbrook Discovery School, a K-8 school in Moreland School District, where she works to keep both visual and performing arts going strong in public schools. She has enjoyed being a proud CMT parent and volunteer for the last 12 years, volunteering in almost every capacity and even trying her hand at Stage Managing a couple of times. Sherri has served as CMTSJ's Parents' Auxiliary Chair, and was honored in 2007 to recieve the Bank of America Local Hero award for her volunteer work at CMTSJ. Sherri enjoys working with so many energetic and talented volunteers each season and is proud to be part of such an amazing organization.
