Joey Dippel, Director and Choreographer

Joey Dippel is thrilled to be returning to the Montgomery Stage, this time as director, for his 30th show with CMT! Joey started his CMT career in Cinderella (1998) with his show-stopping one line. 11 years later, a few of his favorite CMT credits include Maximillion in Candide, Tommy in The Music Man, Bobby in The Boyfriend, Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, West Side Story, Leader of the Pack, and of course, Rum Tum Tugger in Cats. After graduating Archbishop Mitty High School, Joey attended the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre. During his training, he choreographed the conservatory’s productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Street Scene, and his class’ showcase in New York. He also created, directed, and choreographed two one-act dance pieces. Now a resident of New York City, Joey has performed with the Weston Playhouse, the Bucks County Playhouse, the Lincoln Theater in Napa Valley and has choreographed for the American Hearts Association, Penguin Rep, the New York Film Academy, and the Broadway Dreams Foundation.

Andrew Ford, Vocal Director

Andrew Ford is a Bay Area native, and has been involved in productions as a performer, director, and pit musician.  He has participated in festival choirs throughout Europe, performed on the stage of Carnegie Hall in New York, toured as part of the chorus for Star Wars in Concert and just recently sang backup for the Rolling Stones on their 50 & Counting tour. In December, White Christmas marked the beginning of Andrew’s fourth season partnering with CMT. Other show credits include: Jesus Christ Superstar, Avenue Q, Barnum, Legally Blonde, The Wiz, Disney’s Tarzan, Xanadu, Heidi, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Amie Jan, Musical Director

Amie Jan, a Houston native with a degree in Computer Science from Rice University, decided to pursue a second degree in Violin Performance and Music Education from SJSU. Amie was first introduced to CMTSJ when she was invited to play violin in the pit orchestra for CMTSJ’s first Marquee Production in 2005: Chess. She immediately fell in love with the organization and she is now in her ninth season musical directing at CMTSJ. Her most recent productions include: Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom, In the Heights, Les Misérables, Xanadu, Avenue Q, 9 to 5: the Musical, Legally Blonde, Disney’s Tarzan, and Seussical. She is passionate about musical theater and has found the combination of music and youth to be very rewarding.
