Pirates of Penzance

CMT Rising Stars

Show Dates: Thursday, February 27 - Sunday, March 2, 2014

Ahoy, Me Hearties! CMTSJ’s Rising StARRRRRs take to the Seven Seas in, perhaps, Gilbert & Sullivan’s most-beloved comic opera, The Pirates of Penzance. At the age of 21, naïve Frederic finishes his apprenticeship with a band of pirates. Upon his release, he falls in love with the first pair of female eyes he sees. However, they belong to the beautiful Mabel, daughter of the Major-General. From there, chaos erupts! Timbers are shivered; planks are walked; and tone-deaf men tell no tales! Renowned for songs like “I Am a Pirate King!” “Poor Wandering One,” and “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General,” it will, indeed, be a Pirate’s Life for All this winter!
