Tickets on Sale: October 13

CMT Rising Stars opens our 50th season with a special adaptation of a Broadway classic: Fiddler on the Roof Jr.

Set in a small Russian village in 1905, this Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of Tevye, a poor milkman who wants to protect his family’s way of life – but things are changing fast in the world around him. With the help of their eccentric and close-knit Jewish community, he tries to teach his strong-willed daughters the importance of religious and cultural traditions.

Rich in historical and ethnic detail, filled with humor and honesty, this show’s universal themes will resonate with all audiences, regardless of race, class, ethnicity or faith.

Iconic songs: “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker”

Stacy Levin

Director

Read Bio
Stacy Levin is honored to return to CMTSJ to share this important, meaningful, and timely journey back to 1905 Russia with these incredible Rising Stars. Splitting her time between being an active director, vocal coach, play-write, voice-over artist, and performer, Stacy was last seen at CMTSJ directing Alice in Wonderland, and previous to that, The Music Man. On stage, her favorite roles have included Jo in Little Women the Musical (DMT), Tzietel in Fiddler on the Roof (Broadway By The Bay), and Minnie Faye in Hello Dolly (Woodminster), but off stage, her favorite roles are daughter, wife, and mother to her singing and dancing three year old, Eli. Holding an M.S. in Engineering (Product Development) from Stanford University and a B.S. in Mathematics with minors in Theater, Voice, and Dance from Harvey Mudd College, Stacy also consults with companies to help them create new products and services to further their (and her) missions of Tikkun Olam – making the world a better place.

She continued choregraphing/directing/teaching intermittently at Fisher Middle School and the APJCC. As a dancer, Jennifer performed with KIYA Dance Theatre and Stone Dance Collective in London. She toured with Parparim Dance Ensemble, a NYC based Israeli folk dance company.
