Marquee Productions

2011-2012 marks the eighth anniversary of Marquee Productions, and this year, we're celebrating with an expanded schedule: two great Marquee shows. The annual Marquee production has become a CMT tradition and highlights CMT's full artistic potential with high-caliber entertainment that benefits the organization and the community. Past Marquee productions of Hairspray (2011), Chicago (2011), Singin' In The Rain (2010), Disney's When You Wish (2009), Ragtime (2008), Thoroughly Modern Millie (2007), The Full Monty (2006), Chess (2005), have set standards high for the annual production which features a cast of CMT Alumni as well as many local professional adult actors from the Bay Area.

DISNEY'S TARZAN

A Marquee Production

CMT is thrilled to present the West Coast premiere of Disney's Broadway hit, Tarzan. With music by Phil Collins, Tarzan follows the story of a young boy, raised in the jungle by a family of apes. When English explorers come to the jungle to learn more about these primates, Tarzan sees other humans for the first time and follows his heart to be with his own kind. Once again, CMT's fall production combines the talent of Mainstage and Marquee performers for a one-of a kind engagement.

** This special Marquee production will include a few roles for ages 14 and up. Performers with special skills (acrobatic, dancing, singing) will be encouraged to audition. The hope is to cast @ 20 performers with the right skill set from the mainstage age range. A fee for participation will be collected from performers under 20.

9 TO 5: The Musical

Marquee Premiere! Based on the popular 1980 movie, this feel-good production tells the story of three unlikely friends who conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do -- even in a man's world. Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, 9 to 5 is about teaming up and taking care of business... it's about getting credit and getting even. With a hilarious story line and rousing production numbers featuring Marquee performers, 9 to 5 promises to delight one and all!
