Managing Director

The Managing Director has a dual-leadership role, working in concert with the Artistic Director, Kevin Hauge, to ensure the quality of productions and programs, the efficient use of staff and volunteer resources and the implementation of long-term strategies developed in conjunction with the board of directors. In this leadership capacity, considerable effort should be expended toward directing and supporting the Parents’ Auxiliary group which provides considerable in-kind support to the agency.

Duties: Organizational leadership/development, financial acumen & fiscal sustainability (Annual operating budget of over $2 mil), demonstrated revenue generation track record. Governance: Fiduciary duties, Board & Fund Development, Community & Government Relations, facilities & equipment management. Proven leadership: Senior management experience, collaborative in decision-making, Strong conceptual, analytical, & communication skills. Commitment to arts/theater/youth organizations. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree Preferred.

Assistant to Artistic Director

CMT is looking for a meticulous and efficient Assistant to the Artistic Director to assist in the daily management of the artistic office and this executive’s busy schedule and workload. Duties include managing the Artistic Director’s calendar, correspondence, and phone communications, as well as maintaining the company’s guest staff contracts book, royalty agreements with publishing houses, and supplemental staffing assistance. Responsible for oversight on special projects and on CMT’s productions and numerous special events as needed. Applicants should have experience supporting a busy executive and juggling multiple projects simultaneously; Exceptional people skills required, must be able to maintain confidentiality, and possess a great sense of humor. A knowledge of youth or community theater a huge plus.

We are looking for talented and committed professionals who can work with children ages 8-20, as well as with our professional artistic staff. Please note that each CMT production runs an average of two months, which includes five to six weeks of rehearsal, one tech week, and performances that run one to two weekends long.

In-studio classes run seven to ten weeks in length.
