March 2 – 11, 2018 • Featuring local performers ages 14-20
In 1997, CMT premiered a show pioneering the theatrical experience we now know as “CMT Mainstage.” Reimagined and reinvented for our 50th season, we invite you to join us at the arcade this winter for The Who’s Tommy!
After witnessing a murder as a child, traumatized Tommy slips into a catatonic state. As his existence wears on, he’s abused by sadistic relatives and neighbors – but his life is saved when he discovers an uncanny knack for the game of pinball. He rises to international superstardom, and inspires people all over the world.
Based on the groundbreaking 1969 rock concept album, The Who’s Tommy is a stirring story of hope, healing and the human spirit. An exhilarating score gives this show a cross-generational appeal that’s made it a Mainstage favorite!
Tony Award winning songs like “See Me, Feel Me” (performed at the Woodstock music festival in 1969), the instantly recognizable “Pinball Wizard” and the powerful “The Acid Queen”
