Dance Classes are back to in person training this Spring!
Monday night dance in person! Classes are designed for students ages 9 – 15 of varying experience levels.

Musical Theater Dance Class
Musical Theater Dance

Spring Session: April 12 – May 24 (7 weeks)
Beginning Musical Theater Dance 5-6pm
Intermediate Musical Theater Dance 6-7pm
Cost: $140
Description – This popular series focuses on musical theater style dance with emphasis on technique and audition skills. Each week, we will visit a new musical and learn a combination inspired by that production.
What to Bring – Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes to move in and will need ample space and a reliable internet connection. Jazz shoes or closed toe shoes are preferred, but not required.
Experience Levels –
- BEGINNING: Students ages 10-16 with less then 2 years of formal dance training in ballet, jazz, and/or musical theater dance.
- INTERMEDIATE: Students ages 10-16 with a minimum of 2 years of formal dance training in ballet, jazz and/or musical theater dance.
Tap Class

Class Schedule: April 12 – May 24 (7 weeks)

Cost – $140
Description – Classes consist of group exercises with time built for individual coaching. Steps and combinations will become increasingly more challenging as the session progresses and modifications will be offered to meet every dancer where they’re at.
What to Bring – Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes to move in and will need ample space and a reliable internet connection. Tap shoes are required for Intermediate classes and strongly encouraged for beginner classes.
Experience Levels –
- BEGINNING: Students ages 10-16 with less then 2 years of formal tap classes.
- INTERMEDIATE: Students ages 10-16 with a minimum of 2 years of formal tap classes.
Cancellation Policy
Registration deadlines are set for 5 p.m., one week prior to each class start date.
Cancellations requested prior to the registration deadlines are subject to a $25 processing fee. No refunds for cancellations or transfers will be honored after the registration deadlines. Check payments written with insufficient funds will be subject to a $35 fee.
To request a cancellation or transfer, contact registration@cmtsj.org. Please include: your reason for cancelling/transferring; the registrant’s name; the participant’s name; the title of the class or event; the date and time of the class or event; the age group and/or session number.
