Ivan Bracy Jr

Bio

(he/him/his) is a graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre and dance minor. Since his graduation he’s worked with choreographers that have crafted for Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and others from various Broadway productions. Ivan has spent his professional career as an actor in the entertainment industry all over the nation with regional theaters, theme parks, concerts and with industrial companies. While at CMT as an actor you may have seen him as Donkey in Shrek, Seaweed in Hairspray and most recently an Angel in Kinky Boots. Others include Richie in A Chorus Line in Florida, Specs in Newsies and Benny in In the Heights in Pittsburgh, PA. Last season he broke into the artistic staff while directing and or choreographing Head Over Heels and Cinderella. Currently living in Chicago, Ivan continues to teach the arts to youth in programs such as the annual New York City Jimmy Awards where he urges kids to be challenged to take on new styles and jump over boundaries. Mean Girls is a story he’s grown up with and can’t wait to bring this #fetch high school world to the Montgomery. It’s been such an honor for him to be back at CMT and work with these extraordinary young artists. Please, enjoy the show! @ivanbracyjr
