Samantha Kenbrandt

Samantha Kenbrandt (Director)

Bio

Though no stranger to sitting in the director’s chair, Samantha (Sammi to most) is ogre-joyed to be making her CMT directorial debut with a musical that never fails to make her smile. A lifelong storyteller, her career officially began in the living room, directing family and friends in original backyard and living room plays. By high school, she transitioned to choreographing youth musicals for Bay Area Educational Theater Company’s summer camps (the very camps that fostered her childhood love for musical theater), sparking a lifelong passion for youth theater education and performance, and eventually became a resident director for the company for both their summer camp and main stage productions. She has since also directed for Hillbarn Conservatory and Stratford Schools, in addition to several workshop and educational theater based programs with companies such as Starting Arts and Theaterworks. Some of her favorite directing credits include James and the Giant Peach, The Addams Family, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz – basically any show that encourages you to be true to yourself and let your freak flag fly! When not behind the table she can frequently be found on stage, as well. In 2025 she made her CMT debut in Finding Neverland and was most recently seen as Alice Beineke in The Addams Family at Palo Alto Players. Sammi extends a huge thank you to the cast, crew, and creative team for bringing this incredible vision to life! “Thank you for continuing to support the arts!”

Meaghan Schapelhouman

Meaghan Schapelhouman (Choreographer)

Bio

Meaghan is thrilled to return as an Artistic Team Member, after choreographing last season’s rousing production of The Drowsy Chaperone! A CMT alum, Meaghan spent 10 years performing on the Montgomery stage. She graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College in 2022. During her time in NYC, Meaghan had the honor of being cast in two of her favorite shows – American Idiot (Tunny) and The Who’s Tommy (Featured Dancer). Since returning to the Bay, Meaghan has worked as a Theatre Educator in various fashions. She spent two years as one of Almaden Country Day School’s Co-Performing Arts Teachers, during which she directed productions such as William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Disney’s Frozen. She has returned to her alma mater, Presentation High School, to choreograph productions of Legally Blonde The Musical, Shrek the Musical, and most recently, 9 to 5 the Musical. Since returning to CMT, she has taught dance, and served as one of Camp CMT’s Office and Camp Managers, this past summer. Meaghan has returned to Bay Area stages in productions of Young Frankenstein (Los Altos Stage Company) and Annie (Palo Alto Players). She hopes that this show inspires you to Let Your Freak Flag Fly!
